IBPS Probationary Officer 2025 – Exam Pattern

IBPS introduced a 3-level examination divided into Prelims, Mains, and Interview.

• Preliminary - The IBPS PO preliminary test will last 20 minutes for each section and will be done online. It has three sections, a total of 100 questions, and a maximum score of 100 marks. The IBPS PO pre-exam has a negative marking system, with 0.25 marks lost for each incorrect answer. To be eligible for the IBPS PO Main test, candidates must score above the cut-off in all three parts.
• Mains - Candidates who pass the mains exam are invited to a face-to-face interview with a maximum score of 100. The minimal qualifying mark for the interview is 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
• Interview - Candidates who pass the mains exam are invited to a face-to-face interview with a maximum score of 100. The minimal qualifying mark for the interview is 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
